Background Information: The group A.S.I.S started in February of 2008, in Blacksburg, VA. The band consist of Steven Pittman Jr (Smoove). Steven Pittman (Smoove) is half founder and the main creative writer. Luv-Hop, Hip-Hop and Soul oriented music is what A.S.I.S brings to the table with a fresh outlook on sound and a hunger for success. Original beats and tracks are all that is performed by this group. Along with Steven, there is a variety of guest artists that are commonly featured in the live acts.
Performances: This group performs local and regional shows on a weekly or semi-weekly basis. Drawing large consistent crowds for each of these events. The average time of a show is approximately 2 hours long, but they can hold a show for as long as 4 hours if needed. DJ Mike E spins their original beats as well as mixes popular hip-hop from other artists and match ups from all types of music. Live bands and/or instruments are also implemented during shows sometimes to add a new flavor and original sound.
Requirements from Venues: With proper promotion the sales per show averages over $1000 on weekdays and nearly double that on weekend nights (that does not include the door). A.S.I.S does have the resources to provide their own sound for a show though the group would prefer to use house systems whenever possible or easily available to lower costs for the group. Self promotion is a skill A.S.I.S prides themselves on however the group would like the venue to promote locally as much as possible. The cost for booking the group is between $300-500 per night depending on the length of the show desired and what equipment is provided as well as what promotions were done prior by the venue.
